    This weekends thoughts or musings are about VALUE. How do we determine the value of an item of clothing? And what makes something GOOD value? By how much it costs? By the quality? By the quantity?     I like to think it’s a combination of the first two. It’s important to think about the item as a whole and to not just take it on face value. False economy is an annoying trick that makes you think you are buying something of value because it’s cheap but the quantity may be high, like a £2 Primark T-shirt or washing up liquid.       A couple of weeks ago I set myself a little task. To go to my local high street to see what ethical or sustainable fashion and beauty items are easily available.     Weekend thoughts : Inclusivity in the Sustainable / ethical fashion world.

    Since starting this project just over a month ago my eyes have been opened to an overwhelming amount of brands, bloggers, designers, journalists, websites, the lot! All related to sustainability and ethics within the clothing industry. A couple of questions have come out of it though which I would like to look in to more, one of them being inclusivity. Due to the nature of the slow fashion movement, materials and labour naturally costs more.
