Ethical shops taking over the world!

This spring/ summer seems to be an excellent season for lots of new ethical style shops opening!

This makes me incredibly happy because as we all know, VISIBILITY is one thing I think that is truly holding this movement down. So having more brick and mortar shops is BRILLAINT. It will aid in helping people to make sustainable and ethical choices SO much more easily, and hopefully help convert some as well ūüėČ

My Pop-up shop and market map at Christmas was quite a success so I have decided to do a permanent version for the UK. I will keep adding to it the more I discover so PLEASE do share any you know of. I love the idea of visiting any new town or city and being able to instantly find a brilliant conscious clothing establishment.

So while I crack on with getting this started here are a few that have inspired me;

(Full disclosure I haven’t managed to actually make it to any of these yet (I’m in the process of waiting to move in to a new flat in Bristol so am a bit of a nomad at the mo) but I am very familiar with all the brands involved so am pretty certain they are all going to be AMAZING. )

Ottowin¬†are a Bristol based duo making beautiful leather shoes, sandals and boots, they featured in one of my first ever blog posts actually, read here.¬†¬†They have just recently opened this gorgeous looking shop in the heart of Bristol selling not only their hand made shoes but also other clothes, accessories and lifestyle bits from sustainable, ethical and independent designers and makers, mostly local but some from London too. I can’t wait to visit when I can be back in the city properly!

Again following a successful pop-up in the same location last year, Henri is back for a permanent spot. Based on the Hackney Road Henri is stocking her own brand along with other similar designer and makers, of course! Again when I am next in London this will be my first port of call.

Right I had better get cracking with this map then!
