Pants! Round up of boxers and briefs.

A few weeks a go I wrote a post rounding up some excellent ladies underwear and lingerie (you can read it here). I also included some tips on looking after your underwear to increase the longevity of it thus making it even more sustainable.

Although on my blog so far there has been a tilt towards womenswear, it wasn’t my intention to make it exclusively this. To be fair a lot of the brands I have featured do cater for all tastes, but I think I will also start to include some mens wear specific posts as well. Of course there are no rules anyway of who can wear what so in the end it doesn’t really matter does it, if you like something you can wear it!

Today i’ve rounded up a selection of boxers and briefs. My only tips for taking care of these would be to follow the washing instructions, and probably don’t tumble dry as it will ruin the elastic in the band quicker (I say this though a couple of hours after sticking lots of mine and my boyfriends pants in the dryer, oops!).

ANYWAY let’s take a look!

mens ethical underwear eco sustainable pants

  1. Brand: Living Crafts – £24.95 for a pack of 2 – Available also in blue and grey.

These are made from 100% Organic Cotton and Living Crafts are also socially responsible as well as eco friendly so the supply chain is transparent and ethical, you can find out more about it, here. I really like these, they are pretty classic in the design and colour ways and the price is pretty good!

2. Brand: Finisterre – Eddy boxer – £30 each or 2 for £40 – Available in other colour ways.

Old faithful Finisterre. These boxers are actually made from merino wool, which is in my opinion a bit of a wonder fabric.

Merino wool regulates temperature, is super soft next to the skin and quick drying. If that’s not enough it also makes the Eddys moisture-wicking, antibacterial and odour-resistant – that’s a lot of innovation in such a small space.” (Finisterre website)

3. Brand: BAM – Prices range from £15 each or 2 for £25, 3 for £35 – Available in lots of colours.

Made from: Bamboo Jersey 200gsm – 68% Bamboo Viscose, 28% Organic Cotton, 4% Elastane. There are lots of options on their website, though there are a few bolder, brighter colours most of them are pretty muted. I like how you can buy larger pack sizes.

4. Brand: Living Crafts – £22.95 for a pack of 2

These are the same brand as the first ones in the list but a different style.

5. Brand: Baintree via Thought Clothing – Was £12 now £6 for single pairs, was £29.90 now £15 for gift set.

A selection of the Baintree boxers available at Thought. These are all currently in the sale and the prices are ridiculous. Made from a organic cotton/ bamboo mix.

6. Brand: Howies – Set of 7 £73.50 – also available in singles and other colours.

I had to include these Howies ones as I love that you can buy them in packs as large as 7! The price is ok when you buy them this way, I mean it works out around £10 a pair which isn’t bad at all. They have a selection of pants made from Modal or you could upgrade to the more expensive Merino Wool!
